Abandoned by her mother, given to her grandmother for a time, then torn from the prostitutes at her grandmothers home, and raised by her father in the Circus, the Piaf story is almost beyond belief.
But in the end you will always have Paris, and this story and the performance of Marion Cottilard as Edith is extraordinary.
