Crime thriller film noir about a Russian crime family ala the Corleones only much more scary and a young girl who thru circumstances comes into their orbit.  Viggo Mortenson and Naomi Watts are excellent.

Have you seen a concert at Berkeley?  NO?  Well, you’ve been missing out.  Last week they held a concert of teachers, students and visiting musicians, and played Electric Reggae.  Yah mon.  It rocked.  Even better, they are having concerts all the time.  Check it out.

Why is that Shakespeare created such great English Classics that we all identify with, or shall I say, should identify with.  Recently, I went to see Midsummer Nights Dream on the Boston Common.  Great.  A wonderful summer nite, listening and picnicing to Shakespeare.  Don’t miss it if you get the chance.

Lawrence has been turning into the little cultural mecca.  In addition, to their annual day long Folk Festival, just recently ended, you can see Public ART on display throughout the downtown along the river.  Our favorite, art the DRESSES as ART, that are suspended over the canal.

The Lawrence music and arts scene is thriving this summer.  We traveled north to see “N’Awlins” (New Orleans), “Preservation Hall Jazz Band”.  They played in the Lawrence High School downtown.  The music was great.  They closed their performance with “Do You Know what it Means to Miss New Orleans?” Yeah I do.  New Orleans needs all the support we can give them.
